Riedel Wine Evening

A Riedel Glass turns a sip of wine into a celebration.

Did you know that the shape and size of your glass will affect the aroma, flavour and overall profile of wine? This exclusive Riedel wine event is an entertaining and educational opportunity to explore  how the right glassware can enhance your wine drinking experience. Alongside Riedel, Northcote’s expert wine team will demonstrate this important role these glasses play in wine enjoyment. With decades of research into the Grape Varietal sensation and support from the world’s wine experts, Riedel knows that the enjoyment of aroma, taste, texture and finish of a wine is maximized by using the right “Wine Instrument”.

With the use of glasses from Riedel’s elegant and extravagantly light machine-made series, Riedel Veloce, you can see for yourself why shape matters. Riedel Veloce is an impressive development based on state-of-the-art technology from Riedel’s own factory in Weiden, Germany. The series designs are based on the much-loved bowl shapes of Riedel’s Extreme series but delivered with a lighter profile. Recognising the evolution of modern wines, the Riedel family adapted the Extreme series following an intensive new round of comparative tastings – a project that provided the inspiration behind Riedel Veloce.

With a perfectly matched 4-course menu, created by Executive Chef, Lisa Goodwin-Allen, with an outstanding wine pairing, we can promise an enjoyable and educational event for all of our guests.
